Hess Village melee sends 5 to hospital

(Updated) Five men in their early 20s have been hurt in a fight in Hamilton’s Hess Village.

At least two of them have stab wounds. The brawl broke out between two groups around 2:30 this morning.

Police say a knife and a blunt weapon were used. Some of the victims have cuts to their hands and legs.

Officers remained on the scene throughout the morning, but Hess Street has since been re-opened. No arrests have yet been made.
