Hamilton police officer hit on Hwy 6

A Hamilton police officer was hit on Highway 6 north near Concession 8 in Flamborough Friday afternoon.

Police say he was doing speed enforcement at the time when the vehicle hit him.

He was taken to hospital in serious but not life threatening condition.  The driver was arrested.

We spoke to one neighbour who saw the officer in the ditch.
