Hamilton police investigate after body found behind Waterdown Value Village

Hamilton police are investigating after the body of an elderly man was found on a trail in Waterdown.
Detectives have said that this is not the body of John Edwards, the 62-year-old man who went missing over three months ago from his Dundas, Ont. home.
Officers have confirmed that the body was found by a runner using the trail behind Value Village near the corner of Clappison Avenue and Dundas Street East.
Investigators have transported the man to the coroner’s office to determine whether his death is suspicious and they are continuing to hold the scene until they have these results.
This is a developing news story. More to come.
