Hamilton police end ground search for missing Dundas man

Hamilton police have ended their ground search for a Dundas man who went missing in early June.
62-year-old John Edwards left St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas on June 11. His last confirmed sighting was 4 p.m. that day in a gas station parking lot in Flamborough.
Police have spent weeks searching through dense brush, high grass and bog-like areas — on foot, horseback, in ATVs and with the canine unit. They have also used aerial support with a helicopter — all with no sign of Edwards.
Hamilton police say they’ve made the difficult decision to end their ground search but will continue to investigate all tips.
Anyone with information regarding Edwards’ whereabouts is asked to contact police at 905-546-3886 or the Missing Person Unit at 905-540-8549.
