Hamilton police arrest 3rd person in murder of innocent bystander Harsimrat Randhawa

Hamilton police have arrested a third person believed to be responsible for the April murder of Harsimrat Randhawa, the innocent bystander killed by a stray bullet.

Officers say they arrested 29-year-old Jaiyden Jones of no fixed address on Monday in Toronto.

Jones has been charged with first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder.

The first arrest in this murder was on Aug. 5, when 32-year-old Jerdaine Foster was arrested and charged with the same offences as Jones.

The second is the Aug. 7 arrest of 26-year-old Obiesea Okafor of North York. Okafor was charged with three counts of attempted murder.

On Apr. 17, Harisimrat Randawa was standing near a bus stop at the intersection of Upper James Street and South Bend Road in Hamilton when she was fatally shot and killed. Randawa was a student at Mohawk College.
