Hamilton man arrested after drug trafficking investigation

Hamilton police say they’ve arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Following the arrest, search warrants were executed at two homes one in the area of Gage Avenue North and Barton Street East, and the other near Main Street East and Spring Street.

Police say that as a result of the searches, they seized the following:

  • A loaded 9mm handgun
  • Approximately 24 grams of cocaine
  • Approximately 680 grams of fentanyl
  • Approximately 19 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • Hundreds of hydromorphone pills
  • Over $7,000 in Canadian currency

Jesse Schnarr, 33, of Hamilton is facing five criminal charges.
