Hamilton launches free parking program in local BIAs

The city of Hamilton has launched its free pre-Christmas parking program in various Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) across the city.

The program runs from Nov. 24 to Dec. 24 and allows motorists to take advantage of free on-street parking for two hours.

Free street parking is available in the following local BIAs:

• Ancaster BIA
• Barton Village BIA
• Concession Street BIA
• Hamilton Downtown (West Avenue to Queen, Hunter to Cannon, also James Street from Charlton to Barton)
• International Village BIA
• King Street West BIA
• Ottawa Street BIA
• Locke Street BIA
• Westdale Village BIA

Free parking will also be available in Dundas municipal lots from Dec. 1 to 31.

The city is reminding residents all parking and stopping regulations must be obeyed at all times.
