Greg Dunnett, the President of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce says shopping locally can help.
“You go out and you shop local, it reinvests the funds in our community so that strengthens our community as a whole, it creates jobs,” Dunnett says.
Bitten co-owner Erica Savoy says, “Hamilton Day is really important to my heart. I was born and raised in Hamilton, and Bitten has been here since 2011. So Hamilton’s a really big, crucial thing for us. It’s just really nice to see the community rallying together, supporting local and just kinda getting out there and enjoying the day.”
What’s typically a one-day event, has expanded to four days of programming, with concerts, markets, and much more.
If you missed this weekend’s activities, you can still support Hamilton’s economy, by shopping locally year-round.
