Officers launched an investigation after an adult woman came forward and reported a series of sexual assaults and other offences that took place over a period of several years.

The offences are alleged to have been committed when she was younger than 16 years old, and continued into adulthood.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged Seip with the following:

  • Sexual interference
  • Invitation to sexual touching

  • Sexual assault x 4
  • Uttering death threats x 2

He is being held for a bail hearing scheduled to take place Wednesday at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.

Police are not releasing the identity of the victim, but have said the investigation is ongoing and they believe there may be other victims.
