Federal offender wanted on Canada-wide warrant: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s help in locating a federal offender.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Jamil Tariq, 29, for breach of parole.

Tariq is currently serving a three-year and four-month sentence for assault, break and enter, utter threats, possession of property obtained by crime, fail to comply with probation and fail to comply with recognizance.

He is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area.

Tariq is described as a black, five-foot-ten, 165 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his right arm, and scars on his neck and left leg.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact OPP.
