Fans mourn Hollywood legend Rob Reiner as son taken into custody

The world was shocked to learn legendary Hollywood director, actor, and activist Rob Reiner and his wife, producer Michele Singer Reiner had been killed in their home Sunday after being found with stab wounds.

In another shock announcement Monday, their son was taken into police custody on suspicion of murder, being held on $4-million-dollar bail.

Reiner was long one of the most prolific directors in Hollywood, his work includes some of the most memorable movies of the 1980’s and 90s, including “This Is Spinal Tap,” “When Harry Met Sally,” and “A Few Good Men.”

Authorities said Monday the couple’s son Nick Reiner, is “responsible” for their deaths.

This case remains under active investigation.

Authorities say more details will be released when appropriate, and updates are expected as formal criminal charges are filed.
