Drunk truck driver

A Brampton man faces impaired driving charges after numerous calls to 9-1-1 were received for erratic driving on Highway 403 Thursday afternoon.

Just after 2pm, Brantford police began receiving 9-1-1 calls in regards to a transport truck driving on the 403 east bound heading towards Brantford.

Cars trying to pass this truck were forced to lock brakes or drive on the shoulder in an attempt to avoid being struck by the truck which was swerving side to side.

A 38 year old man from Brampton blew more than 3 times more than the legal limit.

He faces 3 charges, his licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
