Driver dead after crash with cement truck and sedan near Simcoe

Police are investigating the details surrounding a deadly three-car crash near Simcoe.
Yesterday, Norfolk County OPP responded to a three-car crash involving a cement truck, a sedan, and an SUV at the intersection of Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road, just outside of Simcoe.
Officers say the driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old resident of Norfolk County was pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of the cement truck and sedan, along with the sedan’s passenger, were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Concession 13 Townsend, between Culver Road and Cockshutt Road, and Blueline Road, between Concession 12 Townsend and Concession 14 Townsend, were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team is asking anyone who was in the area of Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road and witnessed the collision, or has information that may assist, to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
