Cyclist seriously injured at Kelso

A man in his 50s was taken to hospital in critical condition after a bike accident this afternoon.

The man was riding a BMX-style bike at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton when he fell. It took crews an hour to remove him from the path and bring him to an awaiting Ornge Air ambulance. He was airlifted to Hamilton General hospital.

Halton EMS say he suffered injuries to his neck and may be paralyzed.
