City of Hamilton extends heat warning

The heat warning issued by the City of Hamilton has been extended.
“The first significant heat event of the season with dangerously hot and humid conditions will continue through Tuesday,” a statement from the City read.
The City and participating community agencies are responding to the heat by offering “cool places” to go during all stages of a heat event. These locations can be identified by a “Cool Down Here” sign at the entrance.
Information on cool-down areas, heat warnings and heat-related illness can be found a City of Hamilton webpage.
As part of the heat response plan regularly scheduled Open Swims at all City of Hamilton indoor pools will be free of charge.
