CHCH’s Countdown to 2026 draws record 1.27M viewers across Canada

If you welcomed the new year with CHCH’s The Countdown to 2026, you had company from across the country.

The show on New Year’s Eve was the most watched all-Canadian show in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

Iconic Canadian rock bands Sloan and Big Wreck headlined the two-and-a-half hour special.

More than 1.27 million viewers caught The Countdown — watching on CHCH, CHEK, Parrot TV and YouTube.

The numbers are the biggest yet for CHCH’s annual New Year’s Eve party.
