Canadian shoppers caught up in Halloween horror frenzy

It’s that time of year again when ghosts, goblins, and ghouls take over the streets and Halloween fever sweeps across the nation.

But Halloween isn’t just about haunted houses and spooky parties, it’s also a shopping frenzy with candy, costumes, and decorations flying off the shelves.

While the price of Halloween candy might be the most frightening part of this holiday, it’s clear Canadians still love to get into the spooky spirit.

I spoke with a retail expert and a horror fanatic, to get the scoop on Halloween 2025.

Some costumes that are expected to be seen a lot include smoke and stack from popular horror movie “Sinners,” Frankenstein’s monster following the hype around the reboot, and a fashion accessory that has blown up, Labubus.
