Burlington Public Library reopens Appleby branch in new community centre

Burlington Public Library is reopening its Appleby branch to the public this morning at an expanded space in the new Robert Bateman Community Centre.
The library is one of the first occupants at the new community centre and is triple the space of the old location.
It features a large collection of books to borrow, comfortable seating and a children’s area, 3D printer access, a dedicated space for Brock University students and three free bookable meeting rooms available to rent starting Oct. 1. There is also free Wi-Fi and free parking.
The library also has a “MakerStudio” where visitors can record and edit video and audio projects.
The multi-use Robert Bateman Community Centre is opening in phases from September of this year.
