Brantford police arrest Ohsweken man in Saturday’s double stabbing

Brantford police have arrested a 27-year-old man who is accused of stabbing two men on Saturday.

Officers say at around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday they learned that two men had been stabbed following an altercation in front of a bar at Market and Chatham streets.

Authorities say one man was treated with life-threatening injuries and the other with serious injuries.

Investigators say the suspect fled the scene following the stabbing.

Police say the 27-year-old man of Ohsweken was arrested Monday at 11 a.m. and charged with 2 counts for attempted murder and aggravated assault as well as breach of probation, release order and undertaking.

The accused man was held for bail, according to officers.
