Brant County OPP now equipped with body-worn cameras

Provincial police officers in Brant County are now being equipped with body-worn cameras.

West Region OPP says body camera are meant to enhance safety for both officers and the public.

“This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in our community,” police said in a social media post on Facebook.

Police remind the public that during interactions with police, a body-worn camera may be active and recording.

Officers say the presence of body-worn cameras strengthens public trust and reinforces the professionalism of Brant County police officers.
