Apple investigates labour complaints in China

Apple is sending audit teams to China to investigate labour complaints.

The teams will look into three factories said to have extremely poor working and living conditions. Reports from China Labour Watch say the workers in the plants who assemble Macbook computers and iPhones, are overworked, underpaid, and do not receive overtime.

Health and safety concerns and management abuses have also been mentioned. Apple says it is committed to providing a safe working environment and investigating the claims.
