12-year-old sent to hospital after one of two pellet gun shootings in Hamilton

Hamilton police say they are investigating two instances where a pellet gun was fired at members of the general public in Hamilton Saturday.
Officers say at around 1:20 a.m. in the area of Albright Road and Nicklaus Drive, multiple pellet gun shots were fired at a random bystander walking on the sidewalk.
The victim in this shooting was not injured.
Police say shots were also fired at around 5:50 p.m. in the area of Catalina Drive and Clapham Road, where multiple people on the sidewalk were shot at by someone with a pellet gun.
Investigators say a 12-year-old was hit during this shooting and was brought to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives say the two shootings appear to be random.
Officers say a newer model, dark-coloured Ford Mustang with distinct white racing stripes – extending from the hood to the trunk – was seen in both shootings.
Anyone with information or video of each shooting is asked to contact police to help with the investigation.
