HAPPENING NOW:

A new study by American and Danish researchers shows that men who do *regular* weight training may be able to reduce their risk of type ‘2’ diabetes by a third.
When combining weight training and aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking or running, men may be able to reduce their risk by 59%.
This is the first study to examine weight training in the prevention of type 2 diabetes.
The results show that weight training appears to give significant benefits independent of aerobic exercise, and can be a valuable alternative for people who have difficulty going out for a jog.
