Tailoring breast cancer treatment to specific cases
It was estimated in 2011 that more than 23,000 Canadian women would be diagnosed with breast cancer, and it wasn’t long ago that the vast majority would be treated with a “one-size-fits-all” kind of therapy.
But some major advances in diagnosis, have allowed doctors to tailor cancer therapy for individual needs. Maria Hayes explains.
