Texting to quit smoking
Here’s a way your smart phone could help you quit smoking.
A study out of Britain looked at nearly 6,000 smokers in the U.K. who were trying to stop.
Half got motivational text messages, while the other half received messages not related to smoking.
All participants sent saliva samples to the researchers to confirm whether they had quit or not.
Those in the motivational text group were more than twice as likely to quit successfully.
