Two sibling child actors are making their mark

First Published:

Since her last appearance on Morning Live, young American actress Alexa Swinton continues to rack up credits, most recently as Rose Goldenblatt in the Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That. And then there’s her brother Maxim who’s appearing in two upcoming new shows. We welcomed both of them back to the show to talk about their projects.

Alexa says her character in Sex and the City, Rose a.k.a “Rock” Goldenblatt represents a group of people who usually aren’t represented in movie and film. That is a 12-year-old child exploring their gender.

She says a lot of people in her life are going through the things her character is going through, which inspired her portrayal.

“I feel like our generation is more comfortable with exploring the idea of being themselves,” said Alexa. “I would say there wasn’t so much research that needed to be done. I’ve had a lot of friends that are going through this.”

Maxim has a role in two shows with co-stars Ethan Hawke and Ewan McGregor. Previously, he had acted in Halston, which is a mini-series based on the life of the famous designer, starring Ewan McGregor.

Maxim will appear in two upcoming new shows: Raymond and Ray and Fleishman Is In Trouble.
