Case of TB in Hamilton high school
Hamilton Public Health is reporting a case of tuberculosis at Sir John A MacDonald high school.
It says the case is under treatment and there’s no ongoing risk to students or employees. TB is a lung infection that can be spread to people in close contact. Public health is working with officials from the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board to identify the close contacts of this case. Joining us to talk more about this is Associate Medical Officer of Health, Dr Ninh Tran.
