Opposition parties hammer Wynne

Queen’s Park has only been back in full swing for a couple of days, but Ontario’s MPPs aren’t going easy on newly elected premier Kathleen Wynne.

Today was only the second question period since Wynne was elected, and the Conservative and NDP party leaders were both grilling the premier about how she plans on tackling Ontario’s deficit.

Interim Progressive Conservative leader Jim Wilson wanted to know how Wynne would address Ontario’s credit outlook being lowered from stable to negative.

NDP leader Andrea Horwath was also very vocal today. She’s warning that the Ontario Liberals will raise taxes or cut jobs in order to balance Ontario’s books.
