Living wish fulfilled for a resident of Lasalle Park Retirement community

89-year-old Rose Sazio wanted a Ticat tailgate party; her late husband Ralph played and coached the CFL team through three winning Grey Cup Championships.
Rose and her husband Ralph Sazio moved to Hamilton in 1950, when Ralph came to play for and coach the Tiger-Cats football team.
“In the five years he was head coach he was in the Grey Cup four times and won it three times, so our family grew up football was our main focus.” Peggy Giroux, Rose’s daughter.
Rose Sazio still doesn’t miss a CFL game.
“My brother has to give her the full schedule and we tape the games that are on too late. She’ll watch all the games and when the season is over she’ll watch NFL.”
This is just the latest living wish fulfilled by Lasalle Park. Other residents have taken helicopter tours and one 99 year old woman got a ride in a police car.
