Man’s body found on east-end Hamilton roadway

Hamilton Police have closed roads this morning in the city’s east-end after discovering a body on the road.

In an X post, police said Vineland Road from Garfield Avenue South to Sherman Avenue South would be closed and cautioned drivers to adjust plans.

Detectives say the deceased man is approximately in his 40s.

Officers say there is no additional information as there is nothing immediately suspicious.

Police say the call came in just after 4:30 a.m. and the roads were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
