Caputo murder suspects arrested

Two people wanted in the murder of a Niagara Falls man have been arrested after a search that lasted more than a week.

Jasmine Doxtator, age 37, and her 38-year-old cousin Richard Doxtator were spotted in a vehicle travelling on Highway 400 in Vaughan yesterday.  They were arrested around 6:30 p.m.

The body of 70-year-old Joe Caputo was found in his Portage Road apartment on June 19.

Police previously said Caputo knew the suspects, but they have not yet revealed how he died, nor have they discussed a possible motive.

The couple is being held in St. Catharines pending a bail hearing later today.
