There were reports that George Zimmerman, the former neighbourhood watchman who killed unarmed teen, Trayvon Martin in Florida in 2012, was auctioning the gun used in the shooting.
But now it looks like the listing for the gun has disappeared from GunBroker.com
Zimmerman listed the gun on Wednesday, starting the bidding at $5000. He described the gun as “the firearm that was used to defend my life.” He saied the gun was recently returned to him by the Department of Justice and is still fully functional.
In an interview with Fox News Zimmerman said he’s a free American and he can do what he wants with his possessions. Zimmerman was acquitted in Trayvon Martin’s death.
