Woman identified in fatal Hamilton house fire

Hamilton police have identified the woman found inside an apartment fire on Monday night as 22 year-old Rebekah Pezze from Hamilton.

Early reports suggested Pezze was pregnant, police and family have confirmed she was not.

Autopsy revealed she died as a result of the fire and suffered no external trauma.

Hamilton police and the Ontario Fire Marshal remain on scene at 104 Beach Rd and continue to interview witnesses and gather surveillance video from local businesses.
