Woman, 2 children escape Caledonia house fire

A woman and two children managed to get out safely after a massive fire broke out at a home in Caledonia.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Kintyre Crt. Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene.

Haldimand County Fire Services ensured everyone was out of the home and extinguished the blaze.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but it is believed to have started in the garage and then spread to the home.

A neighbouring home was also damaged in the fire.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office was contacted to investigate.

The damage is estimated at $1 million.
