WATCH NOW: Police to provide update on kidnapping, double shooting at 11:30 a.m.

VIDEO: Hamilton police will be providing an update on Thursday’s fatal double shooting and kidnapping investigation at 11:30 a.m.

Emergency crews responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the area of Glancaster Rd. and Dickenson Rd. West in Mount Hope shortly before 3 a.m.

Officers located two brothers suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where one of the men later died.

The victims’ father, 63-year-old Faqir Ali, was forcibly taken from his home in a dark coloured SUV.

Several hours later, Hamilton police located a man suffering from life-threatening injuries near Beach Blvd. Police say they believe the man was Ali.
