The federal government is providing an update on the rollout of COVID-19 vaccine Thursday morning.
This comes as Canada’s procurement minister says she is looking ahead to next
year in the fight against COVID-19.
Anita Anand says she is working on new contracts for supplies of vaccine booster shots that may be needed for ongoing protection against the virus.
Most of Canada’s current vaccine suppliers are already testing new versions against variants, including Pfizer and Moderna.
Still, Anand says Canada’s first priority remains getting doses now.
This update is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
