Walk a mile in her shoes

Hundreds of men and women walked down Main street in Hamilton in red heels to support YWCA Hamilton’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.

The event challenges Hamiltonian’s of all ages and genders to walk in heels to raise funds and awareness to end violence against women.

Over $130,000 was raised, exceeding their goal of $110 000, to fund life-saving programming for women and families impacted by violence. This year is the largest Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event in Hamilton.

Each year in Canada over 75 000 woman and their children flee their homes to escape violence.
