Volvo to transition to fully electric carmaker by 2030

First Published:

Volvo is going to phase out the production of all cars with internal combustion engines, including hybrids, by 2030.

The company’s transition to becoming a fully electric carmaker is part of its climate plan, to consistently reduce its carbon footprint with every car.

Volvo’s announcement follows General Motors’ pledge earlier this year to make only battery-powered vehicles by 2035.
