Vitamin “D” deficiencies appear to worsen a child’s illness.
Researchers at Children’s Hospital Boston looked at the vitamin “D” levels of 500 children admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit.
They found 40% had low vitamin “D” levels.
Those with the deficiency were more sick than those who had normal levels of the vitamin.
