Over 400 people attended a vigil last night for 11-year old Finnigan Danne who died over the weekend in Dundas.
It was an emotion evening, as residents from the tight-knit community gathered at the corner of Ann Street and Sullivan’s Lane – just steps away from where Danne was tragically found Sunday afternoon. Finnigan’s family joined the vigil and his mother spoke to those in attendance.
Hamilton Police say he died shortly after he was reported missing on Saturday. The 11-year old, who suffered from alternating hemiplegia, drowned in an estimated two to three feet of water in a culvert near his Dundas home. The family said they hope this tragedy will bring awareness to the neuromuscular disorder.
