Halton police have made an arrest in connection with a rash of graffiti vandalism in Oakville.
Back in November, police noticed a spike in graffiti targeting commercial buildings, schools, fences and bus shelters.
The incidents were mainly concentrated in the southwest area of Oakville and were believed to have been done during the early morning hours.
On Dec. 15, GO Transit officers arrested 27-year-old Justus Choquette in relation to “mischief offences” on their property in Oakville.
Halton police later linked the suspect to the graffiti investigation.
Choquette has been charged with nine counts of mischief under $5,000 and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
Choquette was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
