U.S. Steel shuffles executives

First Published:

U.S. Steel Canada has made several management appointments.

It has promoted Michael McQuade to president and general manager. He’s been with the company for more than 30 years and is currently vice-president and chief executive officer.

The current president and general manager, Anton Jura, will assume a position with the company’s American operations.

Controller Roy Collins has been promoted to take over from McQuade.

The news comes after the company closed down its steel and iron-making operations in Hamilton late last year.

The changes take effect February 1st.
