U.S. COVID-19 death toll hits 150,000

First Published:

The confirmed death toll from the novel coronavirus in the U.S. has hit 150,000, according to Johns Hopkins University.

This comes as experts warn about new COVID-19 hot spots popping up around the U.S.

Infectious disease specialist Dr. Anthony Fauci says he’s especially concerned about potential outbreaks in Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana.

He is warning officials that those states could soon see the kind of trouble hard-hit Florida and Texas have been facing.

Thursday marks six months since the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency of international concern.
