Two men in hospital following fight at Niagara Falls convenience store

Niagara police are investigating a fight at a Niagara Falls convenience store that sent two men to hospital over the weekend.

Officers were called to a business at the corner of Riall St. and Dorchester Rd. just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police found an 81-year-old man suffering from a serious lower-body injury and a 31-year-old man with a stab wound.

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment.

Police learned the pair had been involved in a “heated argument” inside the store that escalated to a physical fight outside.

The 81-year-old man has been charged with assault with a weapon and the 31-year-old man has been charged with assault.

Both men remain in hospital in stable condition.
