Two men arrested after man’s wallet stolen at Burlington GO Station

Halton police have arrested two men from Oakville following a theft at the Burlington GO Station.

Police say a 52-year-old man’s waist pack and wallet were stolen while he was at the station on Fairview St. on Feb. 29.

They say his financial cards were then used at three locations in Burlington on the same day. Police say the total loss to the victim was roughly $700.

Members of the Burlington Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested Troy Henderson, 45, and Tyson Ellis, 35. Both men have been charged with theft, fraud, and unauthorized use of a credit card.

Halton police are reminding residents to reduce their risk when shopping and only bring a driver’s licence, health card, and a few financial cards.

“All Identity documents should be left securely at home. Don’t let your belongings out of sight and become distracted while shopping,” said Halton police in a news release.
