Two males arrested in Burlington human trafficking investigation

Halton Police have charged two people in a human trafficking investigation.

Two females, aged 16 and 18, were identified as victims following an investigation into an incident at a Burlington hotel last month.

Halton Police worked with Barrie Police to arrest two males from Brampton.

Kevaun Orlando Parkes, 22, has been charged with:

  • Trafficking in Persons – Child
  • Material Benefit – Trafficking in Persons – Child
  • Material Benefit – Purchasing Offence – Child
  • Knowingly Advertise for Sexual Services x2
  • Trafficking in Persons – Adult
  • Material Benefit – Trafficking in Persons – Adult
  • Material Benefit – Purchasing Offence – Adult
  • Withhold or Destroy Identity Document – Adult
  • Assault
  • Procuring – Child

A male youth offender has been charged with:

  • Trafficking in Persons – Child
  • Material Benefit – Trafficking in Persons – Child
  • Material Benefit – Purchasing Offence – Child
  • Knowingly Advertise for Sexual Services x2
  • Trafficking in Persons – Adult
  • Material Benefit – Trafficking in Persons – Adult
  • Material Benefit – Purchasing Offence – Adult
  • Procuring – Child

Police believe there may be more victims.
