One dead, two in hospital after separate Brant crashes

Brant County OPP report a fatal crash on Powerline Road east of Bethel Church Road at approximately 3:45 Saturday morning.

The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 2007 GMC Sierra has been identified as 25-year old Zachary Bentley.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are at the scene to assist with the investigation and the cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Also, two teens are in hospital after a single vehicle crash in Brant County.

OPP officers were called to scene on Ellis Avenue near Mount Pleasant Road at approximately 11:00 pm Friday night.

Investigators determined that a white 1996 Ford Contour had been travelling east bound on Ellis Avenue when it left the roadway.

As a result, the 19-year old male passenger from Brantford was ejected from the car. He was transported to a local hospital by County of Brant Ambulance Service with life threatening injuries.

The 18-year old male driver suffered minor injuries and was also transported to hospital.
