Tubing accident sends three youths to hospital

A tubing accident on the Grand River Sunday afternoon in Caledonia sent three young people to hospital.  The OPP, along with Hamilton and Six Nations paramedics were called to the river near the Highway Six overpass after hearing reports of a tube colliding with a concrete pillar. The tube was being pulled by a boat when the collision occurred after hitting a wake.  A 13 year-old, who managed to leap from the boat just in time, along with an 11 year-old and a 9 year-old were all taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
