Trio arrested at Hamilton hotel in drug trafficking investigation

Three Hamilton residents are facing charges in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

Police were conducting surveillance at the Budget Inn on King St. East around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers say they saw “behaviour indicative of drug trafficking” happening inside two hotel rooms.

Police executed search warrants in the rooms and seized roughly $2,560 worth of cocaine, two knives, nearly $3,000 in cash and several pills.

Two women, aged 58 and 41, and a 26-year-old man were arrested and face several charges.
