Zelenskyy, EU members hold emergency summit to discuss military security

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with EU members at an emergency summit in Belgium, where they discussed major increases in military spending.

European leaders continue to brainstorm it’s future security without the U.S., as Ukraine enters peace talks with the White House and Russia.

A U.S. envoy is tasked to establish a framework for a ceasefire but pressure mounts against Ukraine, after the Trump administration suspended aid and shared intelligence with the war torn country.

Trump’s special envoy says the first meeting is expected to happen next week.

In the meantime, fighting doesn’t appear to have slowed down after a Russian missile struck President Zelenskyy’s hometown Thursday.
